Practice Overview

Andrea leads our Immigration Law Practice.  As one of Canada’s leading business immigration lawyers, Andrea  understands the challenges ever-changing immigration laws and policies pose for employers.  She provides strategic advice and recommendations to corporate clients related to all aspects of Canadian immigration law.  Andrea works with her clients to develop and implement effective strategies to bring international talent to Canada in a timely and compliant manner.

Andrea serves as immigration counsel to regional, national and global clients in various industries and sectors, including pharmaceutical, energy, transportation, health care, oil and gas, natural resources, IT, manufacturing, post-secondary education, heavy civil construction and seafood harvesting and processing.

Prior to joining Barteaux, Andrea was a partner at a leading regional law firm in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she established and grew a business immigration practice before moving, in 2016, to a law firm affiliated with a “Big Four” accounting firm to launch their immigration practice in Atlantic Canada.
